Moldavite is formed by when a large meteorite impacts the earth. When conditions are just right, the area around the impact site melts into a green colored glass like substance known as tektite. These green moldavite tektites are found in the Moldau River Valley which is located in Czechoslovakia. The green Czech moldavite specimens we have are in a variety of shapes, weights and sizes.
